Hi! I’m Abby (or Elilai), the florist-gardener behind Pigeon and Poppy. I’m a lover of birds of all kinds (but especially the NY pigeons and Greenwood parrots) and total nerd for flowers. Pigeon and Poppy was born out of a Sunset Park backyard where I’m very lucky to garden with neighbors and friends. As my love of flowers grew so did my floral practice, and I’m excited to offer my services as a freelancer to other florists and as a floral designer for anyone looking for whimsical, seasonal blooms for their events, business, or home. My background is in software engineering and technical production, where I produce complex software systems ranging from large sales systems down to bespoke art installations.
